Sport

Strand Moslem Primary has a very proud sporting tradition dating back many decades. As Mr. Lynch, former principal of C.R. Rhoda mentioned : "Ons by C.R. Rhoda was altyd baie bek-af wanneer ons n rugby- of netbalwedstryd teen die Mossies verloor het. Net so het ons weer bors uitgedruk wanneer ons hulle die dag uitgestof het. "

Over the years the Strand Moslem Primary has been very competitive with their neighbouring schools and has produced many top quality sportsmen and women who participated at National and Provincial Level. There are so many, that we will do a great injustice not to mention all the names.

Currently the school is offering the following sporting codes :
Rugby, netball, soccer, cricket, athletics, cross country and golf.
The school also offered hockey a few years ago, but due to a lack of facilities and proper hockey equipment the code was abolished.

Sadly like many previously disadvantaged schools, the school has never had its own sportsfield. Currently the school shares the Abbatoir Municipal Sportsgrounds with Dr. Joubert Primary and at least 3 other rugby clubs.
